This unique tour leaves
morning from Aqaba. Here we board our 4X4 jeep,
driven by professional Bedouin
drivers (self-drive available) and
ride to visitor center in Wadi Rum.
From here its onto Jordan's
legendary sandstone area of Wadi
Rum. The enchanting Wadi Rum is an
area almost surreal in its
distinctive beauty.
We cross red sand dunes and explore
the beautifully eroded pillars of
sandstone rock, amongst the natural
attractions are what have become
known as ‘The Seven Pillars'.
It was this area of Wadi Rum that so
inspired T E Lawrence (Lawrence of
Arabia). Wadi Rums beauty remains
intact and it's breathtaking scenery
is still an inspiration for those
who travel there. We visit the
famous spring at ‘Khaza'ali' and the
Hanging Arch.
We also drive along the rarely
visited but equally stunning trails
just beside the Saudi Arabian
border. Back to Aqaba by evening.
Lunch is included on the tour as
is a visit to the Bedouin camp of
Rum for tea and coffee.
