Syrian International Rally, 8/01/2008 - 8/31/2008

Part of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship, the Syrian International Rally is Syria's premier motorsport event, and attracts participants from across the Middle East. The rally starts in Damascus and heads off around the country, ending in Nabk, north of Saydnaya. The itinerary and format changes every year promising a fresh and exciting competition each time.

The Silk Road Festival is one of the main events in Syria, and is held annually in three of the country's main cities: Damascus, Palmyra and Aleppo.
