The Western Desert, a vast expanse that starts at the western bank of the Nile and continues well into Libya, is the desert of deserts. Covering a total of 2.8 million sq km and bordered by Libya in the west, Sudan in the south and the Mediterranean in the north, it is a world of desolation and beauty -- and one of the few places in Egypt where you can go for days at a time without seeing a soul. Five isolated but thriving oases dot this otherwise uninhabited expanse: Kharga, Dakhla, Farafra, Bahariyya, and to the north-west of these, Siwa.

About 45 km north of Farafra, the White Desert begins. It is truly white, in clear contrast with the yellow desert elsewhere. At night, and many of the organized trips out here include overnight stay out in the desert, it gets a character reminding of an Arctic landscape.
The rock formations of the desert are often quite dramatic, and you should not miss out on the weird rock balancing on top of a white pillar

Day by tour itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Cairo Airport, meets, assist and transfer to your hotel

Day 2

Early morning visit the Pyramids of Gize, Sphinx and Sphinx Temple. Then drive to Oases el Bahari by Bus about 400 km. Check In at Hotel in Baharia. Lunch at Hotel Afternoon a walk throw the Baharia and the wonderful rice fields Overnight at Dinner at Hotel

Day 3

After Breakfast at Hotel drive with 4x4 Jeep to visit the roman Spring, the Temple of Alexander the great, the Tombs of the Nobel's & the golden Mummies. Drives throw the white desert to the oases Farafra.

Day 4

After Breakfast visit the Museum of Badr & drive to Deir el-Hagar from the roman time & the City of El Kasr.

Day 5

Visit the Tombs of Balat. Overnight in Tent

Day 6

Drive to the Oases El Charge. Visit the Christian Tomb's of Bagawat & the Museum of Charga. Overnight in Tent.

Day 7

Drive to Luxor. Arrival in Luxor and Transfer to Hotel in Luxor.

Afternoon visit the Karnak and Luxor Temples

Day 8

Transfer to Luxor Airport for Flight back via Cairo or Extension  in Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh
